Pitch Tracker
Guitar2ARP
- Preview

Pitch-tracking arpeggiating synthesizer which is great for guitars, basses, or whatever you want to run through it.

The audio input is analyzed to determine its pitch, That pitch is used to control a synth voice. Then it gets crazy... you can select an arpeggiation pattern with the keys. The patterns are show on the last line of the screen. A '0' is the root note, '-7' is a fifth below the root, '12' is an octave above the root, and so on. Keys 1-20 have preset patterns. Key 21 randomly selects the second of a two note arpeggio. Key 22 randomly selects the second and third note of a three note arpeggio, Key 23 randomly selects the second, third, and fourth notes of a four note arpeggio, and Key 24 randomly selects the second, third, fourth, and fifth notes of a five note arpeggio. If you would like to set your own arpeggio patterns, you can edit the arpPatts.txt file.

As the name implies, this works great with guitar, but also with any pitched sound, like bass or vocals.  You can also get interesting results using un-pitched sounds like drums.
