A sampler/looper where each key stores a loop. Loops consist of one or many recordings whose lengths are relative to a user-defined tempo for easy syncing with external audio.
I Take Up - Quantized stitches together individual, quantized chunks of recorded sound to form longer loops. New recordings are added to the end of the loop. You can have as many as 24 loops-one per key-up to 10 seconds each. Construct precise rhythms at a specific tempo. To be in sync with external audio, you must tell the patch the tempo of incoming audio, and how long you want to record for (1/32, 1/16, 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, or 1/1). Your recorded note length choices will effect a loop’s rhythm/vibe. Record a perfect measure or an odd-timed, herky-jerky jam. It's fun to get crazy and easy to stay synced!
Use Case:
Connect audio input. Use Knob1 to Set 'Rec(ord) Measure Length' (AKA incoming audio tempo) on the Relativity Control page.
Navigate to the I Take Up page. Use Knob1 to monitor input. Select Select a key to record to. Select next recording's length with Knob2. Press the Aux button (or foot switch) to record; Repeat to add new recording to the end of the loop. Adjust the playback tuning (Knob3) and speed (Knob4). Press a currently looping key to stop it. A long press on a key will delete the loop.
